What's On At the Cambridge & County Folk Museum

Spare time in your lunch hour?  Then come along to a mini lecture focusing on a particular area of the museums collection.  £3.50 adults, £2.00 conc.

9th June – 31st August Needles and Pins – a personal story.

An exhibition of handmade crafts with personal recollections by members of the museum’s craft group. A series of craft demonstrations will accompany this exhibition on Wednesday and Saturdays 2-4pm each week. Normal museum admission charge.

26th June, 17th July & 11th Sept 10.30-11.30am Musical Thursdays

Fun, creative session for pre-school children and their carers. Join in story time, singing nursery rhymes and making music. £2.50 per child adults free. Drop in, first come first served.

22nd July –3rd September The seaside comes to Cambridge

Summer Holidays hands on activities throughout the galleries. Try out making your own Punch & Judy play, view seaside postcards from the past and much more.

Giddy Up! The University Museums join with the Folk Museum to offer this fun summer trail using the theme of horses. More details soon!
Tuesday 5th

August 2-4pm Tea Dance for the over 50s.

Join us at the museum for home made cakes, afternoon tea and dancing to the big band sound.

Sun 24th Aug 2pm-5.30pm Bank Holiday Sunday – Cream Teas at Grantchester
